Since its debut in 1992, MODERN RAILWAYS has hosted 17 successful editions, evolving into the largest railway exhibition in Asia with significant and widespread international influence. This biennial event has become the preferred choice for both Chinese and foreign enterprises wishing to participate in a trade fair of rail transport in China.
The 18th edition of MODERN RAILWAYS will be held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing in June 2027, with an exhibition area of 50,000 square meters. The exhibition will focus on showcasing advanced railway technologies and equipment in rolling stock, track engineering, communication & signaling, intelligentization, informatization and AI, new energy, inspection and monitoring and other areas, facilitate exchanges and discussions on hot topics in the railway sector, analyze development trends of the railway industry, and build a platform for exchange and cooperation for enterprises.
In parallel with the exhibition, CHINA RAILWAY will co-host the 5th World Railway Cooperation & Development Forum with the International Union of Railways (UIC), engaging in in-depth discussions on topics such as global railway development trends and the deepening of high-level international cooperation. The International Railway Research Board, the China Railway Society, the China Academy of Railway Sciences Corporation Limited, and other organizations will focus on cutting-edge directions such as railway technological innovation, green and low-carbon practices, and smart intelligence, organizing multiple high-level, diverse thematic forums and technical exchange meetings. These events will bring together thousands of industry executives, experts, scholars, and other participants for exchanges.
During the exhibition, various special activities will be held, including release of new technologies and signing ceremonies, popular railway science activities, activities for railway fans, cultural displays and technical visits. These activities will further enhance the exhibition experience for exhibitors and visitors.
